Fa deu anys, es va afirmar que la captura directa de l&#8217;aire (captar CO2 de l&#8217;atmosfera) necessitaria nom\u00e9s 3 vegades m\u00e9s energia que la captura de fonts puntuals. Tothom emocionat, aviat es va descobrir que la realitat \u00e9s molt m\u00e9s dura que un bon somni: com m\u00e9s es dilueix el component que es vol, m\u00e9s es necessita per fer-lo pur. \u00c9s com buscar una agulla en un paller: necessita energia i necessita intel\u00b7lecte. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les tecnologies de captura directa d&#8217;aire (DAC) representen una proesa incre\u00efble en l&#8217;enginyeria de separaci\u00f3: per a 1 tona de CO<sub>2<\/sub>, cal tamisar una columna d&#8217;aire atmosf\u00e8ric amb la base d&#8217;1 m<sup>2<\/sup> i l&#8217;al\u00e7ada equivalent a la dist\u00e0ncia entre els punts m\u00e9s al sud i el m\u00e9s al nord de Alemanya. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A SolDAC, hem acceptat el repte. Sabem que la tecnologia que estem desenvolupant necessitar\u00e0 energia, per\u00f2 estem utilitzant molt d&#8217;intel\u00b7lecte per fer-la la m\u00e9s baixa t\u00e8cnicament possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Creiem que la calor de baix grau pot ajudar a reduir significativament l&#8217;estr\u00e8s futur sobre el sistema energ\u00e8tic a causa de la intensitat energ\u00e8tica d&#8217;aquesta ind\u00fastria emergent. De fet, la ind\u00fastria del DAC ja sembla intolerable per al sistema d&#8217;energia 100% renovable del 2050. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El proc\u00e9s que estem estudiant \u00e9s alimentat principalment per calor renovable a baixa temperatura. Aquesta baixa qualitat d&#8217;energia s&#8217;utilitza per escalfar materials nanoporosos altament selectius al CO<sub>2<\/sub> en un proc\u00e9s de purificaci\u00f3 avan\u00e7at no previst. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Universitat de St Andrews (grup del professor Wright <a href=\"https:\/\/wrightgroup.wp.st-andrews.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/wrightgroup.wp.st-andrews.ac.uk\/<\/a>) s&#8217;ocupa del descobriment de materials nanoporosos avan\u00e7ats de captura directa d&#8217;aire mentre que la Universitat d&#8217;Edimburg (grup del Dr. Santori) i CNR-ITAE (grup de la Dra.
