The International Association of Hydrogeologists organized the World Groundwater Congress 2024 from the 8th to the 13th September at The Congress Centre in the city of Davos in Switzerland. It was oriented to the scientific community, policy makers, industry representatives and civil society with around 150 attendants from these interested groups.
SCENARIOS was represented by Samuel Kolade, PhD student from the Department of Environmental Hydrology and Microbiology, Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research, Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel.
Samuel was able to present the results of our studies in the work package 3 of the SCENARIOS project titled: Characterization of PFAS transport in the unsaturated zone: Insights from lab-scale to field scale measurements. Moreover, since our study included exploring PFAS contamination at environmental sites in Israel and other strategic locations in Europe, we were able to provide a holistic output from the various sites. The audience was extremely impressed, and we received positive feedback after the presentation.
