Comprehensive development of projects and solutions for raising finance

This initiative, involving 17 interdisciplinary partners from 17 representative European countries, will develop advanced techniques and tools for various cultural heritage assets, visible and non-visible, that will serve to connect institutions and professionals in the cultural sector thanks to cutting-edge technologies that will provide substantial improvements in the organization, management, preservation, visibility, interconnectivity, access and valorization of Cultural Heritage.

Reducing global warming is a priority that we must urgently address and one of the pressing issues facing humanity is how to manage the waste we generate. In response to this challenge, United Circles will demonstrate, with 46 partners in 14 countries and one international body, how cities and industries can work together to recycle waste into value-added products, goals that offer a perspective that will curb the increase in waste and increase substantial mitigation of climate change.

This EU-funded project, using the main advantages of liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOCH) technology such as the ability to convert gaseous hydrogen into a stable liquid energy carrier, will significantly improve its storage, transport and distribution. Its main objective will be to develop an integrated long-term energy storage system using hydrogen in LOHCs, combined with an innovative biomass conversion that will allow direct hydrogen transfer without the need for gas and chemical production, ensuring an improvement in efficient and sustainable resource management.

DYMAN targets the development of a completely new design of adsorption chillers. Additionally, the project aims to develop at second core concept to further develop an existing two-phase cooling system, for high-performance computing servers to handle thermal loads more efficiently from next-generation processors.

HYCOOL-IT will develop a new set of replicable and cost-effective solutions for a better understanding of the challenges in thermal management of IT Server Rooms. This includes increased open knowledge regarding Digital Twin methodological and ICT solutions focused on the tertiary buildings, ready to be replicated in the most common specific use cases across EU.

Spain, according to the FEEDA (Spanish Elevator Business Federation) has more than 1 million residential elevator installations, almost double the European Union average. CARE-IMD will contribute to the SDGs by betting on the digitalization of elevator infrastructures through technologies such as UAVs, AI and Digital Twins.

SolDAC’s main ambition is to reinvent the ethylene industry, which is the chemical industry’s primary building block, by proving an emerging breakthrough technology for producing technically and economically competitive and climate-neutral sustainable ethylene and co-product ethanol from solar energy and air.

Hypergryd’s objective is to develop a set of replicable and scalable-cost effective solutions to allow the integration of renewables-based technologies inside thermal grids and their link with electrical grids, accelerating the sustainable transition towards future 4th and 5th generations of district heating and cooling.

SCENARIOS will achieve TRL’s revolutionary advances in the toxicology, detection and remediation of probably the most objectionable and widespread class of contaminants -PFAS-, with an unprecedented energy balance and virtually no external chemical additives. This will help in making decisions about these substances for environmental safety and human health.

NEON will perform coordination and support activities to go forward in the use of technologies and concepts in state-of-the-art integrated energy services in citizen energy communities (CEC), such as single or multiple buildings, aimed at improving the quality of life of European citizens, while improves the performance of energy systems.

CIRCTHREAD will provide the necessary information so that electrical appliances remain longer in the economic circuit. Access to critical information about each device allows improving existing information about the device, thus helping to make a decision about recycling, reusing or repairing, thus promoting economic and environmental advantages.

Hybris is a new generation of battery-based hybrid storage solutions for smarter, sustainable and more energy efficient grids and behind-the-meter systems. The novel hybrid energy storage system is based on the battery hybridization of lithium titanate and aqueous organic redox flow batteries.

Geofit improves geothermal systems for the energy retrofitting of existing buildings. We develop a methodology that makes the installation cost-effective, easy to install and capable of providing efficient low-temperature heating and high-temperature cooling by using the most advanced and innovative tools and methods.

The HyCool Project aims to increase the current use of Solar Heat in Industrial Processes. HyCool proposes the coupling of a new system of Fresnel thermal solar collectors (FCSP) combined with specially built hybrid heat pumps (HHP) (combined compression and adsorption systems) for the production of Solar Heating and Cooling –SHC.
