United Circles joins the “Uniting Projects and Standards for Circular Impact” workshop on 5 December 2025

On 5 December 2025, United Circles will take part in the online workshop “Uniting Projects and Standards for Circular Impact”, an event dedicated to strengthening the dialogue between European projects and the standardisation community, bringing research closer to technical standardisation and accelerating the definition and adoption of circular approaches across value chains.

The initiative is organised in collaboration with the BeBOP project andthe technical contribution of UNI – the Italian Standardisation Body. The workshop will foster a concrete exchange between project methodologies and international standards, supporting the development and uptake of reliable, comparable and practical tools for industry.

The event will open with a presentation by UNI, providing an overview of circularity standards and methods at UNI, CEN and ISO level, and highlighting how standardization can support projects in defining common criteria and verifiable processes.

This will be followed by presentations from United Circles and BeBOP, who will showcase their approaches to circularity measurement and management: developed frameworks, metrics, indicators and early insights from project activities. For United Circles, it will be an opportunity to present ongoing work on multi-sectoral, integrated and replicable solutions to support the circular transition.

The final part of the workshop will feature an open discussion on key challenges and opportunities, with a focus on synergies between initiatives, alignment between research and standardisation, and the role of standards as enablers of circular innovation.
