EIM – From Key Results to Impact through Industrial Engagement

EIM is an innovation management and communication organisation with extensive experience in supporting European research and innovation projects. Its core expertise lies in dissemination, exploitation and stakeholder engagement, operating at the interface between research, industry and society. Through its involvement in numerous EU-funded initiatives, EIM supports project partners in translating complex research outcomes into clear, accessible messages and in maximising the long-term value and impact of scientific and technological results.

Within the PeCATHS project, EIM is responsible for designing and implementing strategies that enhance the visibility, accessibility and uptake of project outcomes. A central objective of EIM’s contribution is to ensure that PeCATHS results reach relevant audiences beyond academia, including actors from research, industry, policy and society. By aligning communication and exploitation activities with the project’s technical progress, EIM supports the positioning of PeCATHS as a relevant contributor to sustainable and innovative electrochemical technologies.

Exploitation and impact creation

In addition to communication activities, EIM plays a key role in supporting the exploitation of PeCATHS results. This includes the identification of key exploitable results in close collaboration with project partners, as well as the definition of suitable exploitation pathways for different types of outputs, ranging from scientific knowledge to technological developments.
EIM supports partners in assessing potential applications, markets and stakeholder groups, helping ensure that project outcomes are positioned for continued use and development beyond the project’s duration, with long-term scientific, industrial and societal relevance.

Stakeholder engagement and clustering activities

Stakeholder engagement is a core element of EIM’s work in PeCATHS. EIM supports the identification and involvement of key actors across research, industry and innovation ecosystems, fostering dialogue and knowledge exchange.
In parallel, EIM contributes to clustering and networking activities at European level, encouraging collaboration with related projects and initiatives. These actions help situate PeCATHS within the broader research and innovation landscape, promote synergies and strengthen the project’s visibility and influence.

Integration within the PeCATHS consortium

EIM works in close collaboration with all PeCATHS partners to ensure that communication, exploitation and engagement activities are fully aligned with the project’s scientific and technical developments. Continuous dialogue with researchers and technical teams allows dissemination efforts to accurately reflect emerging results, while feedback from stakeholders is used to refine strategies and adapt them to the evolving needs of the project.

Added value and long-term perspective

Through strategic communication, structured exploitation planning and active stakeholder engagement, EIM significantly strengthens the overall impact of the PeCATHS project. By supporting the effective transfer of research results into practice and reinforcing the link between scientific excellence and societal relevance, EIM contributes to advancing sustainable innovation and to the broader objectives of European research and innovation policy. This approach helps ensure that PeCATHS achieves a lasting impact beyond its formal project lifetime.

PECATHS project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme under Grant Agreement No. 101191948. This work is supported by the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) under contract No. 24.00543.
