COMET × HERITALISE: Communicating the Future of Heritage

HERITALISE Consortium

Turning research into engagement

Groundbreaking research only creates real value when people know about it, understand it and have the opportunity to use it. As HERITALISE develops innovative digital solutions for Europe’s cultural heritage, communication becomes much more than a support activity, it is a key driver of collaboration, knowledge exchange and long-term impact.

As the leader of the Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation (CDE) activities, COMET Global Innovation works closely with all project partners to ensure that HERITALISE’s progress, achievements and innovations reach the audiences that matter most. From cultural heritage professionals and researchers to policymakers, technology providers and the wider public, COMET helps transform complex research into accessible, engaging and meaningful stories.

In Venaria Reale

We feel privileged to work with such a committed consortium, whose enthusiasm, expertise and willingness to collaborate make every communication and dissemination activity richer and more impactful. The active involvement of all partners, whether by sharing results, participating in events, contributing content or engaging with stakeholders, is what truly brings HERITALISE to life and maximises its impact across Europe.

Communicating innovation with purpose

Making HERITALISE visible across Europe

Leading communication in a Horizon Europe project means much more than publishing news or managing social media channels. It requires building a coherent narrative that reflects the project’s ambitions while engaging diverse stakeholder communities throughout its lifetime.

COMET coordinates the project’s communication strategy and oversees a wide range of activities, including the website, social media, newsletters, videos, promotional materials and digital campaigns. Working closely with all partners, the team ensures that every milestone, demonstration and success story contributes to increasing HERITALISE’s visibility and strengthening its European presence.

By creating clear, attractive and accessible content, COMET helps make advanced technologies easier to understand and encourages broader participation in the project’s activities.

Bringing stakeholders together

Communication is also about creating dialogue.

One of COMET’s priorities is to foster meaningful engagement with the communities that will benefit from HERITALISE’s outcomes. Museums, cultural institutions, archives, researchers, technology providers, public authorities and other stakeholders are invited to take part in workshops, webinars, conferences, demonstrations and collaborative initiatives organised throughout the project.

These interactions not only disseminate knowledge but also encourage feedback, collaboration and the exchange of ideas, helping ensure that HERITALISE’s solutions respond to real needs across the cultural heritage sector.

The active involvement of all project partners is essential to this process. Thanks to their expertise, established networks and trusted relationships within their respective communities, partners play a fundamental role in connecting HERITALISE with the people and organisations that can benefit most from its results. Stakeholder engagement is built on genuine relationships, and those relationships are created through people. By combining the strength of the consortium with a people-centred approach, HERITALISE is building a diverse and engaged community that will help maximise the project’s long-term impact.

Working together

Creating impact beyond the project

Communication and dissemination are closely connected to exploitation. By making project results visible, understandable and accessible, COMET helps prepare the ground for their future adoption and use.

The exploitation strategy supports partners in identifying opportunities to maximise the value of HERITALISE’s innovations, encouraging collaboration and promoting the uptake of project outcomes by organisations that can apply them in practice.

This long-term perspective contributes to ensuring that the knowledge, technologies and methodologies developed within HERITALISE continue generating value long after the project reaches its conclusion.

More than communication

For COMET, communication is about connecting people with innovation. It means creating opportunities for collaboration, encouraging participation and ensuring that research reaches those who can transform it into real-world impact.

By leading the Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation activities, COMET helps strengthen HERITALISE’s visibility, expand its community and maximise the legacy of the project across Europe’s cultural heritage ecosystem.

What truly drives us is our passion for communication and our belief that communication has the power to connect people, inspire collaboration and turn ideas into action. That is why we put people at the centre of everything we do. Behind every innovation, every project and every achievement, there are people whose ideas, expertise and commitment make progress possible—and we are proud to help tell their stories.
